Are Timeshare Rental Rates Nightly or Weekly?
Rental rates are set directly by the timeshare owners, and they can choose whether to advertise nightly or weekly prices.
Can I Negotiate a Price?
Yes. If the rate is too high for your liking, you can send your own offer to the owner and settle on a price that works for both parties.
How Can I Know that My Timeshare Rental is Secure?
Once you’ve determined the payment arrangements with the timeshare owner, make sure you obtain their contact information in case any issues arise. They will inform the resort that you will be renting the timeshare, so make sure you also get the information for the resort’s front desk.
Will I Have Access to Full Owner Benefits During My Rental?
You will most likely not have access to exclusive owner benefits during your rental. Typically, bonus amenities like clubhouse access, free rounds of golf, and health spa admission is only available to timeshare owners and their families. You will, however, be able to experience the same accommodations, amenities, and basic housekeeping services during your stay.
How are Timeshare Rental Rates Determined?
Like timeshare resale prices, rental rates are set according to timeshare details, such as the resort, the location, accommodation type, season, and maintenance fee amount. All timeshare rental rates are negotiable.
Will I Have to Put a Security Deposit Down on My Rental?
Some owners may request an additional fee as a security deposit. As the owner is still responsible for the timeshare during a rental, any damages will be charged to them. Because of this, some owners will request a nominal deposit from you, and will return the deposit after your trip.
